If your operation feels harder to run than it should — something is broken.

These are the four problems that show up in every underperforming operation.

Inconsistent execution across shifts
Performance depends on who's working that day. No structure means no consistency — and no consistency means no scale.
Accountability gaps across teams
Managers aren't holding people to expectations. Without accountability structures, effort fades and results slide.
Processes that exist but aren't followed
SOPs collect dust. If your team isn't executing your processes, you don't have processes — you have documents.
Growth without scalable systems
More volume, more locations, more complexity — but the same broken foundation. Systems that can't scale will break under growth.

Three steps. Real results.

01
Diagnose
Identify breakdowns, inefficiencies, and execution gaps across your entire operation.
02
Fix
Install clear processes, documented SOPs, accountability structures, and operational systems.
03
Enforce
Build the reporting and accountability infrastructure so results don't fade after implementation.

Sam Plum
Founder & Principal Consultant

Sam Plum

Sam Plum has spent his career in the trenches of some of the most demanding operational environments in the country. With over 20 years of leadership experience spanning retail, logistics, food & beverage, education, and athletics, he brings a rare combination of large-scale operational discipline and people-first leadership.

His corporate background includes leadership roles at Walmart, Dollar General, Travel Centers of America, and Pepsi — managing high-volume operations, leading teams of 500+ employees, and driving performance across multi-department, multi-shift environments generating over $100M annually.

Sam founded Sidwell Consulting Group because he kept seeing the same fixable problems go unfixed — not from lack of effort, but from lack of structure. He built this firm to change that.

Built from the floor up

Before and alongside his corporate career, Sam served as a coach in basketball, baseball, and track — building the same skills that define great operators: accountability, preparation, execution under pressure, and developing people to perform at their best.

He has also worked in manufacturing and education, giving him a well-rounded understanding of how different industries face the same core operational challenges: inconsistent execution, lack of accountability, and systems that break down under real-world conditions.

When you bring in Sidwell Consulting Group, you're not getting a consultant who learned operations from a textbook. You're getting someone who has hired, trained, coached, and held accountable hundreds of people across dozens of environments.
